Chinese mobile maker Huawei is already huge in its home country. But its new, as-yet-unannounced P6 looks like it’s ready to make it here in Blighty and throughout Europe and America.
New details on this slick handset suggests it’ll rock a decent HD Ready 4.7-inch display, with a quad-core processor under the hood and Huawei’s own Android skin, dubbed Emotion, keeping the whole thing ticking along.
Best of all, it measures an impossibly thin 6.18mm, making it a far slinkier proposition than the very best Android handsets, not to mention Apple’s current iPhone 5.
There’s an eight-megapixel camera round the back, which crams in a Macro function that works as close as 4cm to your subject.
The front-facing snapper comes in at five-megapixels, which means that any video calls won’t involve you looking grainy and pixellated at the other end.
Huawei is set to make the P6 official next week. The question is, can it dent HTC and Samsung in any meaningful way?
