Nature UX might not be quite the stellar USP that Samsung appears to think it is, new figures reveal, amid hints that a more stripped down version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 may be what tech fans really crave.

In a study of 1,001 uSwitch site users, some 71 per cent said they would prefer to own the recently unveiled Google/Nexus edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4, which strips away Samsung’s user interface customisations in favour of a stock/vanilla version of Android.

Just 29 per cent of the sample favour the original Samsung version of the Galaxy S4, promotional spots for which focus heavily on Samsung’s innovations and proprietary additions to Android. Most notably, the intelligent pause mode, aka Smart Pause, and the SHealth well-being monitor.
