Three and EE have become the first UK networks to officially confirm they’ll be on board for the launch of the freshly announced Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.

EE, which is the currently the UK’s sole 4G operator, said it will stock the smaller, mid-range sibling to the Galaxy S4 at launch on its super-fast tariffs, but stopped short of disclosing pricing or availability

Three, meanwhile, confirmed its plans to offer the handset when it launches this summer and even uploaded a video comparing the phone’s very ‘pocketable’ dimensions against its big-screen cousins.

Unfortunately, a release date wasn’t forthcoming on this occasion either, leaving us to hope that an ETA will be revealed in the near future.

Announced this week, the Galaxy S4 Mini’s spec sheet takes in a 4.3-inch qHD display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and an eight-megapixel shooter capable of recording in full HD.

Also on board is a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera for HD video calls, Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n), Bluetooth  4.0 and the latest Android 4.2.2 with all-new Nature UX 2.0 interface slathered on top
