Zombie HQ hit the Windows Phone Store shelves last week and is from the developers of Dredd vs. Zombies and Guns 4-Hire. Zombie HQ is a Windows Phone 8 game where you play the role of a zombie apocalypse survivor determined to save your city from the living dead.

As you work to reclaim your city, you work towards rescuing other survivors, discover bigger and badder guns, and collecting a few bucks that can be used to upgrade your arsenal and buy furniture and apparel to customize your characters and headquarters.

Graphics have that distinctive undead feel, game play challenging and overall Zombie HQ is a nifty addition to the Zombie aisle of our Windows Phone gaming library.

When you first jump into the game you'll have to choose your characters gender. From there you get to view a movie trailer (that can be skipped) and run through a tutorial where you get to blast zombies as you learn the gaming controls.

Look, we're as excited as you guys when headlines pop up across the Internet stating that the Lumia 925 has a notification light and the Windows logo flashes in the attempt to grab the owner's attention, but we're not convinced. And neither is Nokia (seriously, we've asked numerous times). That said, we've previously seen in person this blinking Windows capacitive key back when the Lumia 925 was announced (alongside the Lumia 928), but we were informed that it's simply related to debugging (basically the current power-state, blinking was a low-cycle).

We've not noticed any flashing lights on our Lumia 925 unit either, unless you're speaking about the proximity sensor. No matter which setting we attempted to manipulate, no matter how many times we requested friends to send across photos, SMS, emails and more, we just couldn't get the desired results. This was until today when we completely drained the battery and allowed the Windows Phone to shut down to wait until we located a power socket. When plugging the Lumia 925 in, we noticed the Windows logo started to flash.

What was the cause? We're not sure. As we speak, we're draining the device again to see what happens when we insert the USB cable. But it could well be that we're looking at the new way for a Windows Phone to alert the user that there's not enough charge to boot i.e. this is really a new GDR2 "feature", but since we have no other GDR2 phones, we can't compare.

This could be nothing, though. Nokia can't confirm anything for the time being, so we'll keep our eyes open for any details that may emerge and we will certainly reach out for confirmation on what we're looking at here (many have published footage of the flashing while the device is currently powered - yeah, we're scratching our heads).

We'll have to see what Microsoft has to say about a potential software update that enables such functionality. While we attempt to get some concrete details, if you own a Lumia 925

We recently told you that Verizon dropped their price of the Lumia 928 from $99 on contract to just $49—a very competitive price (especially when compared to the $99 BlackBerry Z10, which itself was reduced from $199).

But for those of you still on the fence, you may want to check out Amazon.com, as they have the Lumia 928 for $0.99 on a 2-year contract (Individual or Family) or for $499 without a contract. Since the phone has an unlocked GSM slot for Verizon’s LTE network, you can even use this on other carriers, were you to buy it out right (though you’d be missing some bands on some networks).

NewsSpot was an impressive Google Reader app for our Windows Phone. In a few days though, Google Reader will be no more and changes were needed. Enter the version 3.1 update for NewsSpot which brings support for NewsBlur.

NewsBlur has gained in popularity since Google tanked its Reader and has a free account or a paid subscription that will run $24 annually.

Additionally, NewsSpot also supports switching between multiple sync accounts. You still have support for Pocket, Instapaper, Twitter, Facebook, Readability, and Evernote to share or bookmark your articles.

The developer does note that some of the advanced features of NewsBlur haven't been integrated into NewsSpot but are in the works. The target is to get functionality up to snuff sometime in July.

Additionally, look for future updates to bring service choices beyond NewsBlur to give users a choice of where they get news from. Choices that could include FeedBin, AOL Reader, and hopefully Feedly once the API is available.

NewsSpot is a sharp looking reader app for our Windows Phone (7.x and 8 devices) and bringing NewsBlur on board keeps things rolling. If you haven't tried NewsSpot, t here is a trial version available for NewsSpot that is ad-supported and lets you sync up to 200 unread and 50 starred articles. The full version is running $1.99 and can sync up to 2,000 unread or starred articles.

If you follow our Xbox Windows Phone editorial coverage, then you know I’ve often been critical of the Xbox certification process. Microsoft created a set of certification policies back in the Xbox 360’s early years that were intended to ensure the highest quality game releases and discourage the release of buggy games. These same policies were then extended wholesale to subsequent Xbox platforms, including Games for Windows Live (PC), Windows 8, and Windows Phone.

Problem is the aging and restrictive policies weren’t designed to reflect the changing nature of the games industry, and certainly not to account for the differences in development between consoles and platforms like Windows Phone. Modern game development isn’t about shipping a game and then trying not to ever update it. No, games these days (whether they have In-App Purchases or not) are updated continuously throughout their life spans.

Indie hits like Minecraft and top smartphone games like Angry Birds and Cut the Rope would never have remained as relevant as they are without the constant stream of updates and support from their developers. And the Xbox certification policies dating back to 2005 have been nothing but an impediment towards that kind of support. BUT it turns out that Microsoft discreetly relaxed their policies towards updating games earlier this year – on the Xbox 360, at least.

The Lumia 521 is T-Mobile's exclusive low-end Nokia Windows Phone. It's essentially the Lumia 520, which is available elsewhere, but sports a unique and interesting design. We've recently looked at how Walmart has limited stock of this rather elusive smartphone, but we've just been made aware of two awesome deals available online at GameStop and FRYS.

It's surely selling like hotcakes everywhere, we know the Lumia 520 is in Europe and beyond, but should you still be hunting the US-only Windows Phone, you'll be pleased to know there are two options for you. FRYS has the Lumia 521 listed for $119.99 and while the website states there are none available, we've check and found some stores reporting units ready to go. So be sure to check your local for more details.

GameStop has the Windows Phone listed for $129.99 and it's in stock. While it's slightly more expensive than FRYS, you also receive a free month of Xbox Live, which is pretty neat. This isn't stated on the website, but we were alerted via email, so again, be sure to check with GameStop before purchasing.

Zeiss is a well known brand name from the company named after it's founder, Carl Zeiss AG. According to the Ziess.com blog the company is changing its name to Zeiss to create consistency across its brand communications.

What does this have to do with Windows Phone? Well, Nokia uses Zeiss lenses in several of their Lumia Windows Phones, including the upcoming Lumia 1020/EOS. We've seen leaked images of the camera plate on the EOS that were branded with both "Zeiss" and "Carl Zeiss". Some have thought the images with the Zeiss label were fake.

It would appear that with the company name change these images are looking alot more credible.  Luckily it won't be long until things will come into better focus when we all expect Nokia to officially unveil the Lumia 1020/EOS/Elvis during the July 11th Zoom Reinvented press event.

Yet another render of the next iPhone is doing the rounds today, based on what we think we know about Apple's next handset.

Worked up by Giorgi Tedoradze and highlighted by Phones Review, the concept handset sticks fairly closely to the iPhone 5 template in the design stakes with just a tiny suggestion of HTC's unibody dream, the HTC One.

However, in place of the four-inch screen that features on Apple's current-gen kit, there's a 4.5-inch Retina display that means the handset veers into phablet territory.

To make space for the larger display, which has been rumoured for some time among tech-watchers, there's also a thinner bezel around the screen.

Under the bonnet, the slimmer phone (dimensions are 130mm x 60mm x 7mm) is home to a 12-megapixel iSight camera, with a more powerful A7 processor to keep things ticking over.

As purported component leaks in recent weeks appear to indicate, Tedoradze imagines the iPhone 6 coming in a host of colour options, including white, black, grey, black, blue, purple, red, yellow, green and brown.

Na Atta Masala Pooku Naki mari denganu

The next iPhone from Apple will be a substantially improved beast than its predecessors, industry chatter suggests.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, the seventh-generation iPhone will come with Apple’s new A7 quad core chipset with 2GB of RAM, making it twice as the iPhone 5. It will also reportedly feature a fingerprint sensor for “improving security and usability”.

A scanner will set beneath the home button and will provide users, particularly enterprise users, with a more robust alternative to the archaic pass-codes for accessing their handsets.

To further safeguard against prying eyes, the iPhone 5S is also expected to incorporate an image recognition feature that was spotted in one of Apple’s patent filings from earlier this year. This will randomly show users a photo of a contact when attempting to unlock the handset, which they will have to correctly identify using voice or a list of options on the screen.

Kuo further claims that the iPhone 5S will be home to the same eight-megapixel camera as the iPhone 5, but with an improved sensor and a smart flash that will automatically switch between a white or yellow flash depending on the light conditions.

Meanwhile, Topeka Capital’s Brian White has thrown in his weight behind rumours that the iPhone 5S will come in a range of colours, namely pink, yellow and blue in addition to the standard white and silver, and black and slate.

White also backed reports that Apple is readying a low-cost version of the iPhone, the so-called iPhone mini, which he says "will have a curved back casing made of coloured plastic and will be thicker than the iPhone 5."

The handset is mooted to come in a plastic polycarbonate chassis and recycle parts from older models to keep costs down. However, White forecasts it could still cost as much as $400 (£260) to purchase upfront.

News of the next iPhone comes hot on the heels of Apple's official unveiling of the latest iOS 7 operating system earlier this week.

The revamped platform has been almost entirely stripped of the cutesy, skeuomorphic look of previous iterations in favour of a simpler, flatter and cleaner user interface, along with true multitasking, a new 'Control Centre' that now lets you access key settings options from any screen you're on and numerous improvements to Siri to just name a few.

iOS 7 will be officially released this autumn and is hotly tipped to coincide with the launch of the iPhone 5S in August or September.

new standard iPhone and a cheaper variant will land in the third-quarter, marking a new era for Apple’s smartphone and what appears to be a concerted attempt to court consumers in the developing world.

According to four insiders cited by Reuters, Apple plans to start test production of the low-cost iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6 next month. Mass production is set to start in August, ahead of a simultaneous launch in September.

In keeping with previous rumours, the more affordable iPhone will ostensbily be available in up to six colour options, the report claims. And it’s precisely this shift away from Apple’s any-colour-as-long- as-its-black-or-white policy for iPhones that has delayed gestation of the products until now, it seems.

An insider with “direct knowledge of the matter” told the business-centric site: "Trial production was originally planned to start in June, but the mixing of colours is taking longer than expected as Apple has very high and idealistic standards.”

However, anyone hoping that 2013 will finally see Apple introduce a phablet handset to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note range and HTC’s One should probably cool their boots.

According to Reuters’ people on the inside, although Apple is investigating expansive 4.7-inch and whopping 5.7-inch displays it is unlikely to bring them to market until next year. If at all.

"They constantly change product specifications almost to the final moment, so you're not really sure whether this is the final prototype," one of the sources said before stepping back into the shadows like something from a film noir. We imagine.

Details of Apple’s plans come amid a host of component leaks in recent weeks, including golden SIM trays that some have interpreted as the surest sign yet that colour options will figure in future iPhones.

Aside from the excitement around the stunning, new-look iOS 7, Apple revealed some rather impressive stats during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote last night.

The Cupertino-based tech giant confirmed at the start of the bash that it has now shifted a colossal 600 million iOS devices since the first iPhone hit shelves six years ago.

That number includes the iPhone as well as the iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini. At an average of 100 million a year, it seems Apple is still doing the business, despite profits slipping and a share price that’s dropped significantly in the last year.

The big news last night focused on the latest update to iOS. iOS 7 packs in a string of new features to bring it up to speed with rivals, including Control Center for handling key functions with one swipe, a rejigged version of Safari and overhauled messaging smarts.

Despite its bold looks eliciting suggestions that users might feel alienated when the update rolls out, you can be sure it’ll help edge Apple ever closer to the one billion iOS mark.

Life insurance (also known as life assurance) can protect your family in the event of your death and pays a lump sum within the length of the policy, say 20 or 25 years, or until retirement. There are two types of life insurance policy – level term and decreasing term insurance.

Level term life insurance pays out the same amount throughout the length of the policy. With decreasing term life insurance the amount the policy will pay out on death reduces in line with a mortgage. This means that decreasing term policies offer cheaper life insurance than level term policies, but the amount they pay out reduces over time.

A couple can choose to buy a joint life insurance policy or two separate policies. Although a joint policy will be cheaper than two single policies, in the event of one partner dying, a joint policy will pay out and the policy will end. With two separate policies the remaining partner will still be covered.

Smokers will pay more for life insurance than non-smokers. If you smoke you could save money on life insurance by giving up. Normally, you will be eligible for a cheaper life insurance policy once you have stopped smoking for a year.

The older you are the more you will have to pay for life insurance. As premiums are normally fixed for the length of the policy, you should take it out sooner rather than later to get the cheapest price.

Like all insurance you can find cheap life insurance quotes by shopping around. You must disclose your medical history fully, if you don’t you risk having limited or no cover. Make sure you buy from a regulated company and read the terms and conditions and keyfacts documents.

EE smartphone owners will soon benefit from average 4G connection speeds of 20Mb in ten cities across the UK, the carrier has announced, doubling the previous speed the network claimed to deliver.

EE has confirmed it is doubling the amount of 1800MHz spectrum bandwidth dedicated to 4G from 10MHz to 20MHz. The move will increase capacity and provide customers with headline speeds of up to 80Mb, up from 40Mb previously.

The ten cities where the supercharged service will be available this summer are Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield, with plans to extend its reach at a later date.

Olaf Swantee, EE Chief Executive, said: "We are ensuring that the UK remains at the forefront of the digital revolution.

“Having already pioneered 4G here, we're now advancing the country's infrastructure again."

Existing EE customers in locations where the speed is being doubled will pay no extra for the faster connections.

According to the UK’s sole 4G operator, 25 per cent of customers are signing up for 4G. The company is targeting 4G subscriber numbers of one million by Christmas.

Bus Journey lo Dengudu 02 (Kamapiisachi)

EE customers will be able to sign up for 4G share plans later this summer, the carrier has confirmed, as it bids to press home its first-mover advantage before rivals entering the market later this year.

The share plans will allow subscribers to share their monthly 4G allowance between tablets, laptops and smartphones and between individuals in a household, in a move that could make 4G much more of a viable proposition for cost-conscious consumers.

EE has also announced plans to roll out double-speed 4g. Scheduled to arrive in a matter of weeks, this will boost the maximum 4G speed its network offers from 30Mbps to 80Mbps and will arrive initially in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield

The existing 4G network, meanwhile, is purportedly on course to serve 55 per cent of the UK by the end of June and is expected to cover 98 per cent towards the end of 2014.

Olaf Swantee, CEO of EE, said: “Last year we launched the UK’s first superfast 4G and fibre network. Since then we’ve worked relentlessly to increase the breadth and depth of our reach.

"By the end of June, we will have rolled out 4G across 55 per cent of the population, and will continue to switch on new towns and cities. And with commuters spending an average of 75 minutes travelling every day, EE will also roll out 4G across the busiest airports, commuter routes and shopping centres across the UK, powering the areas that matter most to Britain.

"We recognise that with 4G, customers connect to the things they care about more frequently, across more devices. Our Shared 4GEE plans and Pay as You Go 4GEE Mobile Broadband will offer our customers more ways to do this."

EE's 4G subscriber base now stands at 500,000, after launching seven months ago.

Roaming fees in the EU will soon be no more, amid reports that concerted efforts are being made to “fast track” new regulations to prevent networks from charging extra for using mobiles in the continent.

According to The Telegraph, 27 European Commissioners have voted in Brussels in support of reforms to come into effect as early as July 1st 2014.

“They agreed that this time next year we will have got rid of these charges,” said a source in Brussels, adding that the European Commission is convinced that the market is too disjointed due to an oversaturation of mobile providers in EU member states, which is said to be harming fresh investments.

“There are around 100 operators in Europe and only four in the US. That’s not sustainable if we’re going to have a single market and investment. Europe has less 4G mobile broadband than Africa at the moment,” said the insider.

“Consolidation is not the aim. The aim is a single market, but if it means we get fewer, stronger operators, that’s good.”

With a unified market, British mobile operators will be able to target customers in the EU, and vice-versa. It is also expected to benefit businesses that operate across the EU.

However, to ensure networks aren’t badly affected by the loss of roaming revenues, provision will be made to streamline operating in the EU by synchronising national sales of airwaves.

What do you think of the EU’s plans to end roaming costs? Let us know in the comments section below.

Detailsof two forthcoming Samsung Galaxy smartphones have emerged online, revealing some interesting gen ahead of their official unveilings.

Benchmark scorecards posted on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, confirm numerous specs that are on board the much-rumoured Galaxy S4 Mini and the freshly uncovered Galaxy J Active.

The Galaxy S4 Mini (model Samsung-SGH-I9190), which is essentially a smaller edition of Samsung's latest flagship phone, packs a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset with an Adreno 305 GPU, a display of unspecified size with a 960 x 540 resolution and the usual connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11n.

Allthough there’s no information on the camera, if rumours can be trusted the S4 Mini is expected to feature an eight-megapixel rear-mounted camera, along with the new and improved camera app that debuted on the standard-size S4.

The J Active (model Samsung-SGH-I537), on the other hand, packs a 1080p HD display (size unspecified) and a 1.9GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor.

The Active is widely said to be a sporty, ruggedised kit offering all the features you expect from a modern smartphone, but with superior protection against shocks, knocks and drops and possibly water and dust resistance too.

It’s still unknown exactly when the handsets can be expected to hit store shelves, but word on the street is that both the S4 Mini and the J Active could tip up sometime in July.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Google edition exclusive to US at launch
Brits denied a scoop of vanilla Android goodness.

Eyeing the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google edition that showed up last week at the Google I/O event? You’re not alone.

If site-users’ searches on uSwitch Tech are anything to go by, a version of Samsung’s flagship kit without the phone-maker's Nature UX software customisations is in huge demand with UK smartphone fanatics.

However, today it has emerged that if you're planning to buy one from the get-go when the handset launches in June, you’re in for a disappointment.

A Google rep has told CNET UK that the Galaxy S4 Google edition will be exclusive to the US when it initially goes on sale. Worryingly for would-be owners, the search giant’s employee also doesn’t seem to have committed to a release in other territories at a later date, suggesting that there’s at least some chance it might not make it across The Pond.

However, given that there’s no technical reason standing in the way of a UK launch, we think Google probably just wants to test the water in the US first.

Demand for the phone is expected to be especially strong among rabid tech fans who appreciate that phones running vanilla versions of Android are first in line for updates to new versions of Google’s platform. The fact that Google's take on the smartphone packs all the same lavish high-end specs as the standard Galaxy S4 won’t hurt its appeal with that demographic either.

Priced at $649 (about £430) in the US, the Google version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be sold solely SIM-free through the Google Play store rather than on monthly contracts with networks.

The existence of a brown-hued edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 was all but confirmed today, after the earthier take on the handset made a cameo in an official promo video.

A fresh brown colourway of Samsung’s blockbuster smartphone crops up at the 1.08-mark in the whimsical Hi Hey Hello short film the company appears to have created to amp the Galaxy S4’s appeal to hipster types. At least that’s if the character sporting comedy glasses, neon-green braces and a bow-tie who appears in the clip is anything to go by.

The brown model’s appearance comes days after reports emerged that a so-called Arctic Blue edition is also on the way, to add to the existing white and black colour options.

It’s not yet clear when or if the re-sprayed handsets will make it to the UK. But it’s likely that, as is usually the case, they will initially be exclusive to a particular network or networks.

Samsung unveils Galaxy S4 musical to showcase best features of latest flagship

Not content with just TV ads and billboards, Samsung has unveiled a musical short film highlighting virtually every feature of its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4.

Dubbed ‘Hi Hey Hello’ and featuring a song of the same name by The Chicharones, the musical tells “a modern love story” of a love-struck young man trying to win the heart of a girl from his college with a little help from the Galaxy S4.

Directed by Joseph Kahn, the musical includes cameos from the Galaxy S4’s numerous software features, including Smart Scroll, Smart Pause, Air View and Group Play, along with some impressive choreography performed by a large cast of hipsters (or at least actors dressed as such).

Despite the cheesy premise, we really liked the film. It’s well thought out and does a fantastic job at showcasing what makes the Galaxy S4 the most in-demand handset currently on the market.

The film is part of Samsung’s seven-week marketing campaign to promote the launch of the Galaxy S4 to build on the tremendous success of the Galaxy S3. Well, with news that the S4 has raced to a whopping 10 million sales in its first month on shop shelves, it appears the S-giant has done it again.

Of course, the Galaxy S4 is not all about the software, it also packs some of the best specs in a smartphone too, namely a five-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.9GHz quad-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera.

Three and EE have become the first UK networks to officially confirm they’ll be on board for the launch of the freshly announced Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.

EE, which is the currently the UK’s sole 4G operator, said it will stock the smaller, mid-range sibling to the Galaxy S4 at launch on its super-fast tariffs, but stopped short of disclosing pricing or availability

Three, meanwhile, confirmed its plans to offer the handset when it launches this summer and even uploaded a video comparing the phone’s very ‘pocketable’ dimensions against its big-screen cousins.

Unfortunately, a release date wasn’t forthcoming on this occasion either, leaving us to hope that an ETA will be revealed in the near future.

Announced this week, the Galaxy S4 Mini’s spec sheet takes in a 4.3-inch qHD display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and an eight-megapixel shooter capable of recording in full HD.

Also on board is a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera for HD video calls, Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n), Bluetooth  4.0 and the latest Android 4.2.2 with all-new Nature UX 2.0 interface slathered on top

You may think to yourself that you’ve heard the name WebApps before. You’d be correct in thinking exactly that as we’ve covered the interesting suite previously. It’s a superb concept, enabling Windows Phone owners to check out apps that aren’t currently available on the official store. These aren’t native apps, however and are instead web app counterparts.

The team behind this incredibly useful app are preparing to unleash a rather important update to introduce Live Tile support.

“Live Tiles you say? Other Windows Phone apps sport this functionality. What makes WebApps special?” We’re glad you asked! WebApps will not only support Live Tiles, but each and every web app that’s within the catalogue will be able to take full advantage of Microsoft’s magic squares. What this means is all users can download supporting apps with the 1.4 update to enjoy a more native-like experience.

While tiles can already be pinned to the Start screen, these new Live Tiles will be able to pull information from the web app. When browsing the catalogue of apps, you’ll be able to see “with Live Tile” next to each and every web app that supports this new feature. The tiles added can be configured from the main screen on the app with a new app bar button. This will open up a new page that lists each app with Live Tile support. A check box will be displayed alongside each listing which acts as a quick toggle.

The electronics giant has summoned journalists and partners from around the world to attend a media event dubbed ‘Samsung Premiere’ on June 20th at London’s Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre to showcase the latest additions to its Galaxy and Ativ ranges.

Although the invite doesn’t mention any specifics, we can pretty safely assume the announcements are most likely to be new smartphones.

While the ‘Galaxy’ in question may or may not be the highly anticipated threequel to the Galaxy Note (it's more likely to be the much-rumoured Galaxy S4 Mini), the Ativ is almost sure to be a follow-up to the Windows Phone-powered Ativ S.

Under the bonnet, the slimmer phone (dimensions are 130mm x 60mm x 7mm) is home to a 12-megapixel iSight camera, with a more powerful A7 processor to keep things ticking over.

As purported component leaks in recent weeks appear to indicate, Tedoradze imagines the iPhone 6 coming in a host of colour options, including white, black, grey, black, blue, purple, red, yellow, green and brown.

iPhone renders are a dime a dozen, but for once we have been graced with a concept for Apple’s next flagship phone that seems very much a possibility.

Created by Arthur Reis, a budding designer who aspires to join the ranks of Jony Ive and Shin Nishibori someday, 3D renderings of the iPhone 6 imagine a handset that looks largely identical to iPhone 5 (think: anodised aluminium casing with chamfered edges), but an impressive 20 per cent slimmer at just 6.1mm thick.

Nature UX might not be quite the stellar USP that Samsung appears to think it is, new figures reveal, amid hints that a more stripped down version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 may be what tech fans really crave.

In a study of 1,001 uSwitch site users, some 71 per cent said they would prefer to own the recently unveiled Google/Nexus edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4, which strips away Samsung’s user interface customisations in favour of a stock/vanilla version of Android.

Just 29 per cent of the sample favour the original Samsung version of the Galaxy S4, promotional spots for which focus heavily on Samsung’s innovations and proprietary additions to Android. Most notably, the intelligent pause mode, aka Smart Pause, and the SHealth well-being monitor.

The poll findings come after it was revealed that the sheer range of Nature UX tweaks and exclusive Samsung apps loaded on the Galaxy S mean that just half of the 16GB model’s listed storage space is available for use.

Many of us dream of having our own homes. A home is where the family finds refuge so they can be safe and comfortable. However, not all people have the capacity to purchase a house directly. They need to find financial assistance in order to buy or build a new one. Therefore, they need to find assistance in order to fund the expenditure in acquiring a new home. On the other hand, there are some ways that could help a person get his dream home. This is through financing services from banks. As you know, there are loan programs that could help in raising money for home purchases. The money may also be used in building a new house if the borrower wants. Now, we will give you a few details on how you can get your new home minus the hassles.

One thing that you need to consider first is your capacity to pay. If you are just a regular employee, then your salary might not be enough to buy a new home. In this case, you should evaluate first your account if you have enough savings. If there are not, then you need to find financial assistance today. One thing that could help you is a housing loan. You may find it in most banks as an additional service to their clients. A housing loan is a comfortable way to pay for your property. It provides you the money to purchase a home but in a longer time span of paying. A loan is actually borrowed money from the bank in which you can pay in installments. This is more comfortable than paying outright cash. Your payment will include the interest rate of the bank which is of course reasonable.

When you have acquired your new house, it is best that you pay the amortization regularly. This will help you avoid late payment fees and other charges. If you can pay on time, then there is no need to worry about penalties. This is easily done if you could allocate a certain budget for the house every month. Of course, it depends on the amount that you have loaned for. Make sure that you are coordinating with the loan agent regularly. He will give you updates on your account as well as remind you of your pending dues. In most cases, banks will send you a notice about your statement so this should not be a problem.

One more thing to consider in having a loan is paying the remainder in full. A loan intends to make your life comfortable when you want to initially buy a house. However, the interest rate can be too much for you to cover during the long months of payment. Therefore, we recommend that you fulfill your remaining bill if you already have the money. This way, you can reduce your payments for the interest rate and use the money for other matters. The earlier you terminate the loan, the more savings you will get. So ask your bank if they have good programs for short term loans.
